Occupational safety instructions for an electrician for car repairs

1. General requirements

1.1 Persons who have undergone training and testing of knowledge of labor safety requirements in accordance with the established procedure are allowed to work independently as an electrician.
1.2 An electrician must undergo periodic training and testing of knowledge of labor protection requirements in the prescribed manner.
1.3 The electrician is obliged to comply with the internal labor regulations of the organization, as well as the requirements of this instruction.
1.4 An electrician is required to perform only the work for which he has undergone training, instruction and internship.
1.5 An electrician must know and be able to provide first aid to a victim in an accident.
1.6 While working, an electrician may be exposed to the following dangerous and harmful production factors:
* increased voltage in the electrical circuit;
* electric shock;
* burns;
* cuts, bruises, abrasions.

2. Requirements before starting work

2.1 Before starting work, the electrician must:
* wear special clothing, safety shoes, personal protective equipment;
* inspect the workplace and put it in order;
* check the serviceability of equipment, tools and devices;
* make sure there is no voltage in the network on which work is to be carried out.

3. Requirements during operation

3.1 When working, an electrician must:
* follow safe working methods and techniques;
* use only serviceable equipment, tools and devices;
* use personal protective equipment;
* do not allow unauthorized persons into the work area;
* do not leave a vehicle unattended with the engine or electrical equipment running;
* if it is necessary to use a ladder or stepladder, an electrician must secure it and make sure that it is stable;
* when working with electrical appliances and electrical equipment, an electrician must use electrical protective equipment;
* work with live electrical installations must be carried out by two workers, one of whom must have an electrical safety group of at least III;
* When working with batteries, an electrician must use acid-resistant gloves and safety glasses.

4. Requirements in emergency situations

4.1 In the event of an emergency, the electrician is obliged to:
* stop working immediately;
* report the incident to the manager;
* take measures to localize and eliminate the emergency situation;
* if necessary, provide first aid to the victim.

5. Requirements upon completion of work

5.1 Upon completion of work, the electrician must:
* turn off electrical equipment and clean the workplace;
* hand over tools and accessories;
* take off overalls and safety shoes, personal protective equipment;
* wash your hands with warm water and soap;
* report all comments and faults to the manager.
