Requirements

* Compatible automatic transmission with suitable gear ratio
* Hydraulic control unit (HCU) for automatic transmission
* Automatic transmission pump
* Automatic transmission pipelines and radiator
* Automatic transmission controller (TSSM)
* Wiring harness for automatic transmission
* Cardan shaft (if necessary)
* Fasteners for automatic transmission
* Engine with suitable flange for automatic transmission

Steps

1. Lifting and Secure the Vehicle: Raise the vehicle and securely support it on a lift or jack stands.

2. Disconnecting the variator:
– Drain the transmission fluid.
– Disconnect the drive shafts and propeller shaft (if necessary).
– Remove the wiring harness, lines and other components connected to the CVT.
– Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the variator.

3. Automatic transmission installation:
– Install the automatic transmission in place of the variator.
– Tighten the fastening bolts.

4. Installation of the GBU:
– Attach the GCU to the automatic transmission.
– Connect the pipelines and wiring harnesses to the GCU.

5. Installation of the automatic transmission pump:
– Install the automatic transmission pump on the automatic transmission.
– Connect the pipes and wiring harnesses to the pump.

6. Installation of automatic transmission pipelines:
– Lay the automatic transmission pipelines from the gas unit to the radiator and back.
– Reinstall the pipes and tighten them.

7. Installing the automatic transmission radiator:
– Install the automatic transmission radiator in the place provided for it.
– Connect the pipes to the radiator.

8. Installation of TSSM:
– Install the TSSM in its normal place.
– Connect the wiring harness to the TSCM.

9. Installing the driveshaft (if necessary):
– Install the driveshaft between the automatic transmission and the differential.
– Tighten the propeller shaft mounting bolts.

10. Connecting the automatic transmission wiring harness:
– Connect the automatic transmission wiring harness to the vehicle wiring harness.

11. Filling with transmission fluid:
– Fill the automatic transmission with transmission fluid according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

12. Programming TSSM:
– Program the TSCM using diagnostic equipment so that it is compatible with the installed automatic transmission.

13. Testing and setting:
– Start the engine and let the automatic transmission warm up.
– Check gear shifting, leaks and proper operation of the automatic transmission control system.

Warnings

* This procedure is complex and requires special tools and knowledge. It is recommended to have it done by a qualified mechanic.
* Make sure that the automatic transmission you are installing is compatible with the vehicle and the existing engine.
* Use only quality components and transmission fluid recommended by the manufacturer.
