Preparation

* Make sure the vehicle is compatible with manual transmission.
* Purchase the required manual transmission, clutch pedal, clutch master and slave cylinders, flywheel and installation parts.
* Prepare tools such as a lift, wrenches, screwdrivers and a jack.

Steps

1. Removing the automatic transmission

* Disconnect the battery.
* Raise the car and secure it on the lift.
* Drain the oil from the automatic transmission.
* Disconnect all electrical connectors, cables and vacuum hoses.
* Remove the driveshaft.
* Unscrew the bolts and nuts securing the automatic transmission to the engine and frame.
* Remove the automatic transmission from the car.

2. Installation of a manual transmission

* Install the flywheel on the crankshaft.
* Install the clutch onto the flywheel.
* Install the manual transmission on the engine and frame.
* Tighten the bolts and nuts securing the transmission.

3. Installing the clutch pedal

* Install the clutch pedal according to the included instructions.
* Connect the clutch master and slave cylinders to the pedal and gearbox.

4. Installation of the cardan shaft

* Install the driveshaft to the gearbox.
* Tighten the mounting bolts.

5. Filling liquids

* Fill the manual transmission with oil.
* Fill the clutch system with hydraulic fluid.

6. Electrical installation

* Connect all electrical connectors and wires.

7. Testing

* Lower the car to the ground and turn on the engine.
* Make sure the transmission shifts smoothly and without grinding.
* Check clutch operation.

Adviсe

*Use the services of a qualified mechanic if you do not have the necessary skills.
* Plan ahead for this project as it may take several days to complete.
* Make sure all bolts and nuts are tightened to specifications.
* Check and adjust the gearbox oil level after break-in.
* It is recommended to replace the clutch master and slave cylinders during installation.
