Materials:

* Engine oil for automatic transmission Hyundai/Kia SP-III (4 liters)
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission filter (optional)
* Automatic transmission pan drain plug
* Drain plug O-ring
* Pipe wrench
* 10 mm wrench

Instructions:

1. Warm up the car: Start the engine and let it run for 5-10 minutes so that the oil in the automatic transmission warms up.

2. Secure the vehicle: Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

3. Drain the old oil:
* Locate the automatic transmission pan under the car.
* Place a drain pan under the drain plug.
* Using a pipe wrench, loosen the drain plug and drain the old oil.

4. Replace the pan gasket:
* Remove the automatic transmission pan cover using a 10 mm wrench.
* Remove the old gasket.
* Install a new gasket.

5. Install a new automatic transmission filter (optional):
* Remove the old automatic transmission filter.
* Install the new filter in reverse order.

6. Fill with new oil:
* Using a funnel, pour 3 liters of new automatic transmission oil into the gearbox.

7. Check the oil level:
* Start the engine and shift the gear lever to all positions.
* Stop the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain to the bottom of the pan.
* Pull out the automatic transmission oil dipstick, wipe it with a clean cloth and reinsert it.
* The oil level should be between the “HOT” and “COLD” marks on the dipstick.

8. Install the drain plug:
* Install a new drain plug and tighten it with a pipe wrench.
* Install a new O-ring on the drain plug.
* Close the drip tray cover.

9. Wipe up spills:
* Wipe up any spilled oils with a clean cloth.

10. Resetting the automatic transmission oil change counter reset code:
* Connect the OBD-II scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
* Select the “Engine Oil Reset” option.
*Follow the scanner’s instructions to complete the reset.

Note: It is recommended to change the automatic transmission oil every 60,000-90,000 kilometers.
