Automatic transmission control in Hyundai Starex
Switching modes
* Move the gear selector to neutral (N).
* Press the gear selector release button located on the selector handle.
* Move the selector to the desired mode:
*P – Parking
* R – Reverse
* N – Neutral
*D – Drive
*S – Sport
* M – Manual mode
Manual mode (M)
* Move the gear selector to position M.
* Use the “+” and “-” buttons on the steering wheel or shift lever to change gears.
Transfer Hold
* To hold the current program, press and hold the “+” or “-” button.
Sport mode (S)
*Sport mode improves transmission performance and provides more responsive shifting.
ECO mode
* Select Starex models are equipped with an ECO mode that optimizes gear shifting and engine settings for improved fuel efficiency. To turn on ECO mode, find the corresponding button on the dashboard.
Additional features
*Lock-up torque converter: Lock-up torque converter improves power transfer and improves fuel efficiency.
* Adaptive Gear Shift: The transmission adapts to driving style and road conditions, selecting optimal gear shift points.
* Automatic Parking Mode: When the vehicle is stopped and the gear selector is switched to position P, the transmission automatically switches to Parking mode.
