Hyundai Solaris automatic transmission positions

*P (Park): Locks the transmission shaft, allowing the vehicle to remain stationary and preventing it from moving. Used when parking or making long stops.
* R (Reverse): Activates reverse gear. Used to move backwards.
* N (Neutral): Disconnects the transmission from the engine. Used for towing a car or when starting it.
* D (Drive): Standard driving mode. Automatically changes gears depending on engine speed and load. Gear changes occur smoothly and unnoticed by the driver.
* L (Low): Engages a lower gear for situations that require additional torque, such as driving uphill, towing, or driving on slippery roads.
