Replacing the gasket:
It is recommended to replace the automatic transmission pan gasket when performing the following work:
* Removing and installing the automatic transmission pan
* Changing transmission fluid
* Gearbox repair
Replacement process:
1. Raise the car on a jack or lift.
2. Clean the automatic transmission pan from dirt and transmission fluid residues.
3. Unscrew the bolts securing the pallet.
4. Remove the pan from the transmission housing.
5. Remove the old gasket from the pan and automatic transmission housing.
6. Install a new gasket on the pan.
7. Apply sealant to the seating surface of the pan and automatic transmission housing.
8. Reinstall the pan and tighten the mounting bolts.
9. Lower the vehicle.
