Unlocking the gearbox:
To unlock the gearbox in a Hyundai Matrix with automatic transmission you must:
1. Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the “ON” position.
2. Press and hold the brake pedal.
3. Move the gear shift lever to the Park (P) position.
4. While holding the brake pedal, turn the key to the «LOCK» position.
5. The shift lever can now be moved to Neutral (N) for towing or Drive (D) for driving.
