Hyundai Getz automatic transmission speed sensors

Hyundai Getz with automatic transmission uses two speed sensors:

1. Transmission Speed ​​Sensor (TSS)

*Located on the transmission near the left drive shaft.
* Monitors the speed of rotation of the transmission output shaft and sends a signal to the transmission control module (TCM).
* Used to control gear shifting and torque converter lock-up.

2. Vehicle Speed ​​Sensor (VSS)

*Located at the rear of the differential housing (or rear wheel, depending on model).
* Monitors vehicle speed and sends a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).
*Used to control Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) and Traction Control (TCS).

Symptoms of faulty automatic transmission speed sensors:

* Problems with gear shifting
* Slipping or jerking when shifting gears
*Transmission fault indicator lights up
* Uneven acceleration or jerking
* Unstable speedometer

Possible causes of malfunction of automatic transmission speed sensors:

* Faulty sensor
* Damaged wiring or connectors
* Accumulation of dirt or metal shavings on the sensor
*TCM or ECM malfunction
