Materials:

* Input shaft oil seal
* Output shaft seal
* Transmission fluid
* Transmission sealant
* Carburetor cleaner
* New bolts for the automatic transmission oil pan (optional)

Tools:

* Wrench set
* Ratchet heads
* Oil seal remover
* Flat head screwdriver
* Brake cleaner
* Rags

Procedure:

Removing the automatic transmission oil pan:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Raise the car and place it on stands.
3. Clean the bolts of the automatic transmission oil pan from dirt.
4. Loosen the bolts around the perimeter of the oil pan using a wrench.
5. Carefully separate the oil pan from the transmission housing using a flathead screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the pan gasket.
6. Drain the transmission fluid into a clean container.

Replacing the input shaft oil seal:

1. Remove the old input shaft seal using an oil seal puller.
2. Clean the oil seal seat with carburetor cleaner.
3. Apply transmission sealant to the outer edges of the new seal.
4. Install the new oil seal in place using an oil seal puller.

Replacing the output shaft oil seal:

1. Remove the old output shaft seal using an oil seal puller.
2. Clean the oil seal seat with carburetor cleaner.
3. Apply transmission sealant to the outer edges of the new seal.
4. Install the new oil seal in place using an oil seal puller.

Installing the automatic transmission sump:

1. Install a new automatic transmission oil pan gasket (if necessary).
2. Clean the surfaces of the oil pan and transmission housing with brake cleaner.
3. Apply a thin layer of transmission sealant to the oil pan gasket.
4. Reinstall the oil pan and tighten the bolts around the perimeter with a wrench.
5. Fill with transmission fluid.
6. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
7. Start the engine and check for leaks.

Adviсe:

* Use new automatic transmission oil pan bolts to prevent leaks.
* Tighten the automatic transmission oil pan bolts to the recommended torque specified in your vehicle’s repair manual.
* Check the transmission fluid level after replacing the seals.
