Required materials:
* Automatic transmission oil Hyundai/Kia SP-III or its equivalent (about 4 liters)
* New automatic transmission filter (part number: 463212L000 or equivalent)
* New automatic transmission pan gasket (part number: 2151323000 or equivalent)
* New automatic transmission pan bolt (part number: 2151225000 or equivalent)
* Funnel
* 10 mm wrench or socket
* 17mm wrench or socket
* Pliers
* Gloves
Instructions:
1. Raise the car. Use a jack to lift the front of the car and place it on stands.
2. Drain the old oil. Find the drain plug in the automatic transmission pan and carefully unscrew it using a 17 mm wrench. Place a container under the oil drain plug.
3. Replace the automatic transmission filter. Remove the automatic transmission pan by unscrewing the bolts using a 10 mm wrench. Remove the old automatic transmission filter and install a new one. Clean the surface of the automatic transmission pan from old oil and gaskets.
4. Install a new automatic transmission pan gasket. Apply a thin layer of transmission fluid to the new gasket and carefully place it on the transmission pan.
5. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan. Lift the automatic transmission pan into place and tighten the bolts using a 10 mm wrench.
6. Fill with new oil. Insert a funnel into the automatic transmission filler hole and fill in approximately 4 liters of new automatic transmission oil.
7. Check the oil level. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Then shift through all the gears, holding each gear for a few seconds. Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to settle. Measure the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick. The level should be between the “cold” and “hot” marks.
8. Add oil. Add oil if necessary to bring the level to the correct level.
9. Check for leaks. Start the engine and check the automatic transmission pan for leaks. Repair any leaks found.
10. Reset the automatic transmission oil aging counter. Refer to your Hyundai Creta owner’s manual to learn how to reset the automatic transmission oil aging counter. This will allow the computer to display more accurate information about the condition of the automatic transmission oil.
