Location of automatic transmission temperature sensor in Hyundai Accent Tagaz

1. Raise the car. Use a lift or jacks to safely raise the front of the vehicle and provide access to the underside.

2. Find the automatic transmission pan. The transmission pan is a flat metal component at the bottom of the transmission.

3. Identify the drain plug. The drain plug is located at the very bottom of the automatic transmission pan. It has a hex head and is usually closed with a bolt.

4. Remove the drain plug. Use a wrench or ratchet with the appropriate socket to remove the drain plug. Be careful as transmission fluid may leak from the plug.

5. Find the automatic transmission temperature sensor. The automatic transmission temperature sensor is usually located next to the drain plug. It has an electrical connector with several wires.

6. Disconnect the electrical connector. Press the connector latch and pull it to disconnect it from the sensor.

7. Unscrew the automatic transmission temperature sensor. Use an appropriately sized socket wrench to remove the sensor from the transmission housing. Be careful not to damage the threads.

8. Install a new sensor. Apply sealant to the threads of the new sensor and screw it into the transmission housing. Tighten the sensor to the recommended torque.

9. Connect the electrical connector. Insert the connector into the sensor until it clicks.

10. Install the drain plug. Insert the drain plug and tighten it to the recommended torque.

11. Lower the vehicle. Slowly lower the vehicle to the ground.

12. Add transmission fluid. Check the automatic transmission fluid level and add it if necessary.
