Location of the temperature sensor in the Hyundai Accent automatic transmission:

For models with automatic transmission A4CF1 (4-speed)

* The temperature sensor is located on the right side of the automatic transmission, attached to the aluminum transmission pan.
* It has one electrical connector and a plastic housing.

For models with automatic transmission A6GF1 (6-speed)

* The temperature sensor is installed on top of the automatic transmission, next to the cooling pipe.
*It has two electrical connectors and a metal body.

Sensor type:

* A thermistor whose resistance changes with temperature.

Sensor function:

* Measures the temperature of the transmission fluid in the automatic transmission.
* Temperature data is used by the transmission’s electronic control unit (ECU) to manage fluid temperature and ensure timely gear changes.
