Automatic transmission cooling radiator Hyundai Accent

The automatic transmission cooling radiator is located in the front of the Hyundai Accent, under the hood. It is designed to cool transmission fluid, which heats up during operation of the automatic transmission.

Location:

* The automatic transmission cooling radiator is located in front of the engine cooling radiator.
* Usually mounted on the lower cross member of the radiator.

Function:

* Cools transmission fluid by removing heat from it.
* Transmission fluid circulates through the automatic transmission cooling radiator, where it is cooled by incoming air.

Design:

* The automatic transmission cooling radiator is usually made of aluminum or other light metal.
* Has a honeycomb structure and cooling tubes through which transmission fluid flows.
* Air passes through the radiator honeycomb, cooling the liquid.

Replacement:

* Replacement of the automatic transmission cooling radiator may be necessary if it is leaking, clogged or damaged.
* To replace the automatic transmission cooling radiator you must:
* Drain the transmission fluid.
* Disconnect the transmission fluid lines.
* Remove the old automatic transmission cooling radiator.
* Install a new automatic transmission cooling radiator.
* Tighten transmission fluid lines.
* Fill with transmission fluid.
