Using an automatic transmission (automatic transmission) with all-wheel drive

General Use:

* Operate the gas and brake pedals in the same way as with conventional front or rear wheel drive.
* When shifting in automatic mode, the transmission automatically adjusts the torque distribution between the front and rear wheels depending on road conditions and driving mode.

Driving Modes:

* 2H (2WD): Two-wheel drive, rear wheels only. Use this mode when driving on dry, smooth roads.
* 4H (4WD High): Full-time four-wheel drive, but without low-range gearing. Use this mode when driving on dirt roads, in light off-road conditions, or in slippery conditions.
* 4L (4WD Low): All-wheel drive mode with low gearing for increased torque. Use this mode in severe off-road conditions or when driving with a trailer.

When switching driving modes:

* Switch between modes only when the vehicle is completely stopped.
*When switching from 2H to 4H or 4L, it may take some time for all-wheel drive to activate.
*Do not switch from 4H to 2H or 4L at high speed.

Additional features:

*Differential Lock: Some 4WD vehicles may be equipped with a differential lock feature that helps improve traction in off-road conditions. This is usually a manual function that is turned on and off by a separate switch or button.
* Traction Control System: Traction control system helps prevent wheel spin and improve traction on slippery surfaces. It usually operates automatically, but may have an additional mode for off-road conditions.
*Road Stability Control: Vehicle stability control helps the vehicle stay on track during turns and maneuvers, preventing skidding. It usually operates automatically, but may have an additional mode for off-road conditions.

Safety recommendations:

*Always check your vehicle’s owner’s manual before using the all-wheel drive system.
* Be careful when driving with four-wheel drive on roads with limited traction, such as ice, snow or mud.
*Do not exceed posted speed limits for four-wheel drive modes.
* Check and maintain the four-wheel drive system regularly to ensure proper operation.
