How to use an automatic variable speed transmission (CVT)
Starting the engine and moving the selector to position «D»
* Depress the brake pedal and turn on the ignition.
* Move the gear selector from “P” (park) to “D” (forward).
Speed up
* Release the brake pedal and press the gas pedal.
* CVT transmission smoothly switches gear ratios, maintaining optimal engine speed.
Upshifting
* When you reach the set speed, take your foot off the gas pedal, allowing the vehicle to slow down.
* The CVT transmission will shift to a higher gear, reducing engine speed and improving fuel efficiency.
Downshifting
* For sudden acceleration or when driving on a slope, press the gas pedal deeper.
*The CVT transmission will downshift to increase engine speed and provide additional traction.
Reversing
* Stop the vehicle completely.
* Press the brake pedal and move the gear selector to the “R” (reverse) position.
* Release the brake pedal and press the gas pedal to reverse.
Parking
* Stop the car.
* Depress the brake pedal and move the gear selector to the “P” (park) position.
* Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
Additional features
* Driving Modes: Some CVT-equipped vehicles may have «Sport» or «Eco» driving modes, which alter the transmission’s response to improve performance or fuel economy.
*Manual mode: Some CVTs offer the option of manual gear shifting using paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
Adviсe
* Avoid sudden acceleration and braking as this may cause wear to the transmission.
*Service your CVT regularly by changing the transmission fluid according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
* If you experience vibration or slippage when shifting gears, seek assistance from a mechanic.
