Using an automatic transmission with all-wheel drive:

1. Mode selection switch:

* Typically located on the center console or near the gear selector.
* Rotate the switch to select different four-wheel drive modes.

2. Gear shift:

* Operates the same as a conventional automatic transmission.
* Gear positions: P (park), R (reverse), N (neutral), D (forward), L (low gear).

3. All-wheel drive modes:

* 2WD (rear wheel drive): Power is sent to the rear wheels only. Used to improve fuel economy under normal driving conditions.
* 4WD Auto: The vehicle automatically switches between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive depending on driving conditions. Recommended for most situations.
* 4WD High (full-time four-wheel drive): Power is distributed to all four wheels, providing better traction on slippery or uneven surfaces. Used off-road.
* 4WD Low: Significantly reduces speed and increases torque at the wheels for extreme off-road driving.

4. Operation:

* When switching between four-wheel drive modes, the vehicle must be completely stopped.
* Slowly turn the mode selector to the desired position.
* Do not switch between modes with sudden movements.
* When driving in 4WD High or 4WD Low mode, do not exceed the recommended speed.
*Switch back to 2WD on flat, dry ground.

Notes:

*Available all-wheel drive modes may vary depending on vehicle make and model.
*Always refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for specific instructions.
*Proper use of the all-wheel drive system can improve traction, off-road performance and overall vehicle safety.
