Selector positions:
*P (Park): Locks the transmission and transmission shaft. Always park on sloping terrain.
* R (Reverse): Activates reverse gear.
* N (Neutral): The transmission is not engaged. The engine may idle and the vehicle will not move.
* D (Driving): Normal driving mode for use under normal conditions.
*S (Sport): Provides sportier shifting by holding a gear longer before shifting.
* W (Winter): Provides a smooth start on slippery surfaces, starting from second gear.
* M (Manual): Manual mode, allowing you to change gears manually using the steering wheel paddles or selector.
Usage:
1. Starting the engine: Press the brake pedal, move the selector lever to position P and start the engine.
2. Gear selection:
* To drive forward: Press the brake pedal and move the selector lever to position D, S or W.
* For reverse: Press the brake pedal, move the selector lever to position R and release the brake.
3. Release the brake pedal: Slowly release the brake pedal to allow the vehicle to move.
4. Gear shift:
* Automatic gear shifting: The car automatically changes gears depending on road conditions.
*Manual Shift (if equipped): Use the steering wheel paddles or selector to upshift or downshift.
Additional features:
* Selector lock: The selector is locked in the park position until the brake pedal is depressed.
* Hill Hold: Holds the vehicle in place on slopes when starting off.
* Kickdown: The torque converter locks up when the gas pedal is pressed hard, allowing for quick acceleration.
Adviсe:
*Always shift into park when the vehicle is not moving.
* Do not shift into neutral while driving as this may result in loss of control.
* Use manual mode for better control of gears in certain situations, such as overtaking or going downhill.
*Service the transmission regularly according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
