Shifting gears

1. Parking (P): Use parking when the car is not in use. When engaging parking, you must separately press the gearshift release button.
2. Reverse (R): Use reverse gear to move backwards. Press the shift release button and move the lever to the R position.
3. Neutral (N): Use the neutral position when the engine is on but the vehicle is not moving. In the neutral position, the lever is unlocked, but the gear is not engaged.
4. Drive (D): Use drive for normal forward movement. The lever will automatically change gears according to driving conditions.
5. Manual mode (+/-): Some models have a manual mode that allows you to select gears manually. Use the +/- switches on the lever to change gears.

Additional features

*Sport (S): Some models have a Sport mode that provides sharper acceleration and higher-rpm gearshifts.
* Winter (W): Winter mode activates the traction control system to improve traction on slippery surfaces.
* Traction Control (TC): Traction control system prevents wheel spin.

Notes:

* Shift Release Button: This is usually located on the shift knob or on the center console. You need to press this button to unlock the lever and change gears.
* Parking mode: Be sure to completely stop the vehicle before engaging parking.
* Neutral: Use neutral only when stopped at a traffic light or in traffic.
*Manual Mode: Be careful when using Manual Mode. Do not change gears too quickly or at too high a speed, as this may damage the transmission.
