Reset method via diagnostic scanner:
1. Connect the diagnostic scanner to your vehicle’s OBD-II port.
2. Select the “Erase error codes” option in the scanner.
3. Clear all active and pending error codes.
4. Turn the engine ignition off and on again.
Reset method without diagnostic scanner:
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 15 minutes.
2. Wait for the capacitors to discharge.
3. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
4. Turn the engine ignition off and on again.
Reset method by shifting gears:
1. Turn off the engine ignition.
2. Move the gear selector to Park (P).
3. Wait 1 minute.
4. Start the engine and move the gear selector to the Drive position (D).
5. Accelerate to a speed of approximately 60 km/h (37 mph) and brake to a stop.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 three times.
7. Stop the vehicle and move the gear selector back to Park (P).
Important Notes:
* If the emergency mode was caused by a mechanical problem, resetting it will not eliminate the cause.
*If the problem persists, contact a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis.
* Resetting the automatic transmission from emergency mode may require several attempts.
