Signs of a faulty automatic transmission torque converter:

1. Slip:
* The car accelerates slowly or does not accelerate at all.
* Engine speed increases, but speed does not increase.

2. Vibration:
* Strong vibration when shifting gears or at certain speeds.
* Vibrations may be accompanied by noise or knocking.

3. Overheating:
* The gearbox overheats quickly.
* Automatic transmission fluid has a burnt or sweetish odor.

4. Hum or noise:
* Unusual noise, such as a hum or grinding noise, that becomes louder when shifting gears or driving.
* The noise may be constant or intermittent.

5. Leakage:
* Automatic transmission fluid leakage due to a faulty torque converter seal.
* Detection of automatic transmission fluid under the car.

6. Gear shift delay:
* Delay when changing gears, especially when upshifting or downshifting.
* Untimely or abrupt gear changes.

7. Jerks or jolts:
* Sudden jerks or jolts when shifting gears.
* The vehicle may jerk when driving at low speeds.

8. High fuel consumption:
*A faulty torque converter will result in reduced transmission efficiency, resulting in increased fuel consumption.

9. Fault codes:
* The trouble code scanner can detect codes related to torque converter operation.

Please note: These symptoms can also be caused by other automatic transmission problems. It is necessary to carry out diagnostics to determine the exact cause of the malfunction.
