How to turn on an automatic transmission correctly
1. Make sure the car is parked (P).
*Press the brake pedal.
* Move the gear shift lever to the «P» position.
2. Start the engine.
* While holding the brake pedal, turn the ignition key.
* Do not release the brake pedal until the engine starts.
3. Select a driving mode.
* As necessary, move the gear shift lever to the following mode:
* D (Drive): normal forward movement
* R (Reverse): Reverse movement
* N (Neutral): transmission off
4. Release the brake pedal.
* The car will start moving in the selected mode.
Additionally:
* Do not move the gearshift lever while the vehicle is moving.
* Do not keep your foot on the brake pedal while driving in an automatic transmission.
* Use «P» mode when parking the car rather than «N» mode.
* Maintain the automatic transmission regularly, including replacing fluid and filters.
