Turning off the emergency mode of the automatic transmission

1. Stop the vehicle in a safe place. Move the automatic transmission selector to the ‘P’ (parking) position.

2. Turn off the engine.

3. Wait 10-15 minutes. This will give the transmission time to cool down and reset the emergency mode.

4. Start the engine again.

5. Check the automatic transmission emergency mode indicator. If it is still lit, repeat steps 2-4 again.

6. Drive the car for 10-15 minutes. This will allow the transmission to fully warm up and test its operation.

7. Make sure that the automatic transmission emergency mode is turned off. If the emergency light is no longer on, the problem is resolved.

Additionally:

* If the emergency mode of the automatic transmission does not turn off after repeated attempts, diagnostics and repairs may be required at a car service center.
* Avoid sudden acceleration and heavy loads on the transmission when emergency mode is engaged.
*Do not ignore automatic transmission warnings as this may result in more serious transmission damage.
