Toyota automatic transmission training

Required materials:

* OBD-II scanner
*USB cable
* Diagnostic software (Techstream or similar recommended)

Steps:

1. Connect the scanner to the car: Connect the OBD-II scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port. The port is usually located under the dashboard or under the steering column.
2. Launch the diagnostic software: Launch the diagnostic software on your computer and connect it to the scanner.
3. Identify the Transmission Control Module (TCM): In the software, navigate to the Transmission Control Module (TCM). This is usually found under the “Powertrain” or “Gearbox” section.
4. Select the learning function: Find the learning function in the TCM menu. It is usually called “Transmission Learn” or “Reset Adaptive Values”.
5. Start the learning process: Follow the instructions on the software screen to start the learning process. This process may take some time.
6. Put the car into learning mode: During training, the software will ask you to put the car into a specific driving mode. This usually involves driving slowly, changing gears and stopping.
7. Follow the training instructions: Continue to follow the software instructions and follow the specified riding modes. The program will monitor the transmission parameters and record them in memory.
8. Complete the training: After completing the riding modes, the software will complete the training process.

Adviсe:

* Before performing training, check the fluid level in the gearbox and add if necessary.
* Training is recommended to be carried out by a qualified mechanic who has experience working with Toyota transmissions.
*Be sure to complete the learning process before disconnecting the scanner.
* After completing the training, immediately check the transmission for smooth shifting and proper operation.
* If any problems arise after training, please contact a qualified mechanic.
