Towing a Nissan Automatic Vehicle

Required tools:

* Tow rope
* Towing area (preferred)

Precautions:

*Never tow an automatic vehicle more than 50 miles at speeds greater than 30 mph.
*If the towing distance is greater than 50 miles, tow the vehicle at the site.
* Keep the transmission selector in neutral (N).
* Do not touch the brake pedal.

Towing procedure:

1. Prepare both vehicles. Connect the tow rope to the towing eyes on both vehicles.
2. Start the engine of the towed vehicle.
3. Turn on your hazard lights.
4. Set the gear selector to position N.
5. Follow the towing vehicle.
6. Keep tow speed below 30 mph.
7. Avoid sudden acceleration and braking.
8. If you must stop, press the brake pedal carefully to avoid damaging the transmission.
9. Once you reach your destination, disconnect the tow rope and turn off the engine.

Additional tips:

*If possible, use a towing platform to prevent damage to the transmission.
*If you are towing a long distance, make frequent stops to allow the engine and transmission to cool.
* Do not place the transmission selector in Park (P) while towing.
*Do not tow an automatic transmission vehicle with seized wheels or a damaged transmission.

IMPORTANT: Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious damage to the transmission.
