Preparing for towing:

*Check the towing capacity for your vehicle and make sure it is adequate for the weight of the trailer.
* Make sure the trailer is equipped with proper brakes, lighting and signaling devices.
* Connect the electrical connection between the vehicle and the trailer.
* Install a trailer stabilizer to reduce sway.

Towing:

* Start driving smoothly, avoiding sudden acceleration and braking.
* Use D (Drive) or other recommended towing mode for your vehicle.
* Shift to a lower gear (such as 3, 2 or L) when climbing a hill or towing a heavy trailer.
* Be careful when turning as the trailer may skid.
* Do not exceed the speed limit when towing.
*Take regular breaks to allow the gearbox to cool.

Braking:

* Use engine braking instead of hard braking.
* When braking in an emergency, gently press the brake pedal to avoid locking the wheels.
*Using a trailer with brakes will greatly improve braking performance.

Other tips:

* Check tire pressure regularly, both on the vehicle and on the trailer.
* Distribute the weight in the trailer evenly.
* Use rearview mirrors to monitor the situation behind you.
*Use extreme caution when driving in slippery conditions or strong winds.
*Check your local and national laws and regulations regarding towing.
