Materials:
* 10 mm wrench
* 17 mm wrench
* Flat head screwdriver
* Torque wrench
Steps:
1. Precautions:
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake securely.
*Allow the engine to cool before operating.
2. Draining the oil:
* Find the automatic transmission oil drain plug and place a container under it to drain it.
* Unscrew the drain plug with a 17 mm wrench and drain the oil.
* Clean and screw the drain plug back.
3. Finding the adjusting bolt:
* Find the belt adjusting bolt on the automatic transmission housing. It is usually located at the bottom, at the rear of the gearbox.
* Clean the area around the bolt.
4. Belt adjustment:
Method 1 (preferred):
* Use a torque wrench to tighten the adjusting bolt to 11 Nm.
* Loosen the bolt 2.5 turns.
Method 2:
*Insert a flathead screwdriver into the hole to adjust the band.
* Turn the screwdriver clockwise until you feel resistance.
* Loosen the screwdriver a quarter or half turn.
5. Checking the belt adjustment:
* Start the engine at idle speed and move the selector lever to position «D».
* Release the brake pedal.
* The car should move smoothly without jerking or slipping.
6. Adding oil:
* Unscrew the oil filler plug with a 10 mm wrench.
* Add automatic transmission oil to the level indicated on the dipstick.
* Tighten the oil filler plug.
7. Reset learning counter:
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 10-15 minutes.
* Reconnect the terminal.
Adviсe:
* Check the automatic transmission oil level every 1000 km.
*Adjust the belt only if shifting problems or slippage occur.
