Manually shifting the gear lever
1. Move the lever to the park position (P). Press the brake pedal and insert the key into the ignition.
2. Press the “P” button on the side of the gear lever. It is located on the right side of the lever under the housing.
3. Move the lever to the desired position:
*D (Drive): for normal driving
* R (Reverse): for reverse movement
* N (Neutral): For level parking or towing
*P (Parking): for parking on a slope
4. Release the “P” button.
5. Take your foot off the brake pedal.
Shift using steering wheel paddle shifters (if equipped)
1. Move the gear shift lever to the “M” (Manual) position.
2. To downshift: Pull the left paddle shifter.
3. To upshift: Pull the right steering wheel paddle.
4. To return to automatic mode: Move the gear lever to another position (for example, D).
Additional Tips
* Always press the brake pedal when changing gears.
* Do not shift into R (Reverse) gear when the vehicle is moving forward.
* Do not shift into P (Park) gear while the vehicle is moving.
* When parking on a slope, use the parking brake in P (Parking) gear.
