How to start a Kia Solaris with an automatic transmission:

1. Make sure the car is parked on a level surface and the handbrake is on.
2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the “ACC” position. In this position, the instrument panel and audio system display are switched on.
3. Press the brake pedal.
4. Move the gear shift lever to the “P” (park) position.
5. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position. All indicators on the dashboard will light up.
6. Start the engine by pressing the Start button (next to the ignition switch).
7. Hold down the brake pedal until the engine runs steadily.
8. Release the brake pedal and move the shift lever to the desired position (for example, “D” for forward).

Important Notes:

*Always apply the handbrake before starting the engine.
* Never start the engine with the gear engaged.
* If the engine does not start the first time, turn off the ignition and wait a few seconds before trying again.
