Starting the engine
1. Make sure the car is in Park (P).
2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ‘ON’ position.
3. Press the brake pedal.
4. Move the gear selector lever to the ‘D’ (Forward) position.
5. Release the brake pedal.
– The car will move forward slowly.
6. To engage reverse:
– Press and hold the gear selector lever release button.
– Move the lever to the ‘R’ (Reverse) position.
Notes:
* Do not start the engine in ‘N’ (Neutral) position.
* Do not change gears while the vehicle is moving.
* If you have difficulty shifting gears, turn off the ignition and start the engine again.
* ‘P’ (Parking) mode can only be used when the vehicle is completely stopped.
* To enable ‘N’ (Neutral) mode, you must first engage ‘D’ (Forward) mode.
* To save fuel, it is recommended to use ‘D’ (Forward) mode instead of ‘N’ (Neutral) mode.
