Step 1: Make sure the car is in a safe place.
* Park the car on a level surface and set the parking brake.

Step 2: Insert the key into the ignition.
*In most cars with an automatic transmission, the key must be inserted into the ignition.

Step 3: Press the brake pedal.
* Press the brake pedal with your right foot. This must be done to start the engine.

Step 4: Move the transmission selector to P (Park).
* Use your left hand to move the gear selector to the “P” position. This ensures that the car does not move when starting.

Step 5: Turn the ignition key.
* Turn the ignition key to the “START” position and hold it until the engine starts.

Step 6: Release the ignition key.
*Once the engine starts, release the ignition key.

Step 7: Move the transmission selector to the desired position.
* After starting the engine, move the gear selector to the desired position, such as “D” (forward) or “R” (reverse).

Step 8: Press the accelerator pedal.
* When the vehicle is in the desired gear position, press the accelerator pedal with your right foot to start driving.

Additional tips:

* Do not start the engine with people under the hood.
* If the engine does not start after several attempts, check the battery, starter, or ignition system.
* When parking, be sure to set the parking brake.
* Do not leave the engine idling for a long time.
