Correct foot position when driving a car with an automatic transmission:

Left leg:

* keep on the footrest to the left of the gear lever
*do not use your left foot to operate the pedals

Right leg:

* use only your right foot to operate the pedals
* place your right foot on the brake pedal if you need to slow down or stop the car
* switch to the gas pedal when you need to accelerate

Body position:

* sit up straight, back straight
*shoulders relaxed
*knees slightly bent
*look forward and keep your hands at the three o’clock and nine o’clock position on the steering wheel

Adviсe:

* Avoid switching your feet between pedals, as this may lead to control errors.
* Do not keep your left foot over the brake pedal. This may lead to accidental pressing and an accident.
* When you are not driving, keep both feet on footrests.
