Switching gear selector modes in Nissan cars with automatic transmission

1. Parking (P)
*Always park the vehicle on a level surface with the parking brake applied.
* Shift the selector lever to position P to lock the transmission.
* Turn off the engine.
* Remove the key from the ignition.

2. Reverse (R)
*Press the brake pedal.
* Switch the selector to position R.
* Release the brake pedal and gently press the gas pedal.

3. Neutral (N)
*Press the brake pedal.
* Switch the selector to position N.
* The transmission will be unlocked, but the engine will be idling.
* Use this mode when the car is stationary but the engine is running.

4. Drive (D)
*Press the brake pedal.
* Switch the selector to position D.
* When you release the brake pedal, the car will start moving forward.
* Gear ratios will automatically change depending on speed and load.

5. Sport (S)
* Improves transmission responsiveness and performance for sporty driving.
* Gear shifts at higher rpm for more power.

6. Winter mode (W)
* Used to improve traction and prevent wheel slip on slippery roads.
* The transmission starts moving from second gear, which reduces the likelihood of wheel locking.

7. Manual mode (M)
* Allows you to manually change gears.
* Shift gears using the steering wheel paddles or the gear selector.

Adviсe:

*Always follow the specified order of switching modes.
*Press the brake pedal before switching modes.
* Do not switch to D mode if the vehicle is moving backwards.
*Do not switch to P mode if the vehicle is moving forward.
