* Automatic transmission selector sensor
* Transmission tool kit (optional)
Instructions:
1. Sensor location:
* Locate the automatic transmission selector sensor under the vehicle near the transmission.
* It is usually located near the gear shift lever.
2. Disconnecting the electrical connector:
* Press the connector latch and disconnect it from the sensor.
3. Unscrewing the sensor:
*Use a suitable wrench or ratchet to remove the bolt(s) securing the sensor to the transmission.
* Remove the sensor from the transmission.
4. Installing a new sensor:
*Insert the new sensor into the transmission and tighten the bolt(s).
*Please pay attention to the correct orientation of the sensor.
5. Electrical connector connection:
* Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
* Secure the connector in place.
6. Sensor setup:
*Manual Adjustment: If the sensor does not have a built-in self-adjustment mechanism, you may need to manually adjust its position. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for setup.
* Self-tuning: If the sensor is equipped with a self-tuning mechanism, the transmission control system will automatically tune it after shifting gears several times.
7. Sensor testing:
* Start the engine and switch between all positions of the automatic transmission selector.
* Ensure that the sensor correctly reports the selected position to the transmission control system.
8. Reset error codes (optional):
* If error codes appear during sensor replacement, they must be cleared using a code scanner or by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
Adviсe:
*Use original or high quality replacement sensor.
*Clean the surface of the transmission and sensor thoroughly before installation.
* Tighten the sensor mounting bolts to the specified torque.
