Required tools and materials:
* Set of repair gaskets for torque converter
* Pump housing gasket
*ATF fluid
* Puller for torque converter friction discs
* Bearing puller
* Special sealant for torque converter
* Special cleaner for torque converter
* Wire brush
* Rags
Procedure:
1. Disassembling the torque converter:
* Disconnect the battery.
* Drain the ATF from the transmission.
* Disconnect the torque converter from the flywheel and transmission.
* Disassemble the torque converter using friction disc and bearing pullers.
2. Cleaning and inspection:
* Clean all torque converter components from dirt and debris using a special cleaner and a wire brush.
* Carefully inspect all components for wear, damage or cracks.
3. Replacement of worn parts:
* Replace all worn friction discs, bearings and seals.
4. Torque converter assembly:
* Reassemble the torque converter in reverse order.
* Use a special sealant to seal seams and joints.
5. Installation of torque converter:
* Install the torque converter on the flywheel and connect it to the gearbox.
* Install a new pump housing gasket.
6. Filling with ATF fluid:
* Fill the gearbox with ATF and check its level.
7. Testing:
* Start the engine and change gears to check that the torque converter is operating correctly.
* Check for leaks, noise or vibration.
