Using a diagnostic scanner

1. Connect the diagnostic scanner to your vehicle’s OBD-II port.
2. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
3. Select the “Reset Errors” option in the scanner.
4. Follow the instructions on the scanner screen to clear errors.

Using the reset button

1. Find the error reset button in your car. It is usually located under the hood, either next to the battery or on the transmission.
2. Press and hold the reset button for a few seconds until the engine warning light (MIL) goes off.
3. Release the reset button.

With fuse

1. Locate the fuse that supplies power to the transmission control module (TCM). This is usually a 10 amp fuse.
2. Remove the fuse and wait a few minutes.
3. Put the fuse back into place.

Note:

*Before performing an error reset, make sure that all the issues that caused the errors have been resolved. Otherwise the errors will appear again.
*If resetting errors fails, contact a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
