Method 1: Using an OBD-II scanner

1. Connect the OBD-II scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
2. Select the “Transmission” or “Automatic Transmission” option on the scanner.
3. Find the “Reset automatic transmission adaptation” function.
4. Follow the instructions on the scanner screen.

Method 2: Manual reset

1. Turn off the engine.
2. Press the brake pedal and hold it for about 10 seconds.
3. Release the brake pedal and turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
4. Press and hold the accelerator pedal for approximately 10 seconds.
5. Release the accelerator pedal, turn off the ignition and turn it on again.

General recommendations:

* Before resetting the automatic transmission, make sure the transmission is in park or neutral.
* Do not touch the car during the procedure.
*If you are unsure how to reset the adaptation, consult a mechanic.
*After an adaptation reset, it may take some time for the transmission to readjust and begin operating correctly again.
* It may take several repetitions of the reset procedure to completely resolve the problem.
