Attention: Resetting the automatic transmission to factory settings should only be performed in case of serious problems with the transmission or after repair. It is not recommended to perform a reset regularly or without a good reason.

Procedure:

1. Make sure the car is turned off and the gear shift lever is in the ‘Park’ position.

2. Insert the key into the ignition, but do not turn it.

3. Press and hold the brake pedal.

4. Do the following within 10 seconds:

* Quickly turn the key to the ‘Ignition On’ position and back to the ‘Off’ position 8 times.
* Leave the key in the ‘ignition on’ position.

5. Warm up the engine until it reaches operating temperature.

6. Drive the car for 10-15 minutes to allow the transmission to adjust to your driving style.

7. Stop the engine and wait a few minutes.

8. Start the engine and check the operation of the gearbox.

9. If problems persist, contact a certified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.

Additional tips:

*After a factory reset, the transmission may shift differently than before. This is normal and usually improves as the transmission adapts to your driving style.
*If you are not confident in performing the reset yourself, it is recommended that you consult a professional.
* Failure to use the brake pedal during the reset procedure may result in incorrect operation or damage to the transmission.
*If the transmission still does not operate correctly after a factory reset, more extensive repairs may be needed.
