Diagnostic scanner method:
1. Connect the diagnostic scan tool to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector (usually located under the steering column).
2. Launch the diagnostic scanner software.
3. Select the transmission module from the menu list.
4. Find the option to reset automatic transmission adaptation.
5. Follow the instructions on the diagnostic scanner to initiate the reset.
Method without diagnostic scanner:
Note: This method may not work on all Hyundai iX35 models, but it is worth a try.
1. Locate the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and leave it disconnected for 15-30 minutes.
3. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
4. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
5. Press the brake pedal for 10 seconds.
6. Release the brake pedal.
7. Wait 10 seconds.
8. Start the engine.
9. While warming up the car, do not change gears for the first 5 minutes.
Additional tips:
*After an automatic transmission adaptation reset, it may take some time for the transmission to operate optimally.
* If the transmission still does not work correctly after the reset, it is recommended to contact a car service for further diagnosis and repair.
