Required materials:

* New backlight bulbs (usually T5 or festoon)
* Thin screwdriver or toothpick

Instructions:

1. Turn off the ignition and automatic transmission selector.

2. Remove the plastic panel around the automatic transmission selector.
– Carefully pry off the panel with a thin screwdriver or toothpick.
– Disconnect any electrical connectors that may be connected to the panel.

3. Unscrew the screws that secure the automatic transmission selector plate.
– Usually these are two screws located on the sides of the plate.

4. Remove the automatic transmission selector plate.
– Gently pull the plate up and remove it from the housing.

5. Find the backlight bulbs.
– They are usually located on the underside of the automatic transmission selector plate.

6. Disconnect the backlight bulbs.
– Lightly press the lamp socket and turn it counterclockwise to remove the lamp.

7. Install new backlight bulbs.
– Insert the lamp socket into the socket and turn it clockwise to lock it into place.

8. Reinstall the automatic transmission selector plate.
– Insert the plate into the housing and secure it with screws.

9. Connect any electrical connectors.

10. Reinstall the plastic panel.

11. Turn on the ignition and check the backlight.

Adviсe:

* Replace both backlight bulbs, even if only one is burnt out.
*Use gloves to prevent fingerprints on new lamps.
* Be careful not to scratch the automatic transmission selector panel or plate.
*If you are unsure of any steps, consult a qualified mechanic.
