Materials:

* New backlight bulb
* Small screwdriver

Steps:

1. Set the vehicle to the parking brake.
This ensures that the vehicle does not move during operation.

2. Find the automatic transmission selector panel.
It is usually located on the center console or dashboard.

3. Remove the panel trim.
Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry and remove the plastic trim covering the selector panel.

4. Find the backlight bulb.
It is usually located behind the selector bezel.

5. Disconnect the light bulb connector.
Locate the connector connected to the light bulb and carefully disconnect it by pulling up or pressing on the latch.

6. Remove the old light bulb.
Pull or twist the bulb to remove it from the socket.

7. Install a new light bulb.
Insert the new bulb into the socket and twist or press it to secure it into place.

8. Connect the light bulb connector.
Reconnect the connector to the light bulb, making sure it is securely seated.

9. Reinstall the panel trim.
Attach the plastic panel trim back to the selector by pressing it until it clicks into place.

10. Check the operation of the light bulb.
Switch the automatic transmission selector to different positions to check if the light lights up correctly.

Adviсe:

* Use a bulb of the same type and wattage as the original one.
*If you cannot remove the panel trim by hand, use a plastic opener to avoid damaging it.
* Be careful not to touch the new light bulb with your fingers, as this may shorten its life.
