Tools and materials:

* Phillips head screwdriver
*Pliers

Steps:

1. Set the car to parking mode. Make sure the gear selector lever is in the «P» position.

2. Remove the decorative trim around the handle. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws that secure it. Carefully remove the trim.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector. Locate the electrical connector on the underside of the handle and disconnect it by pressing the latch and pulling.

4. Disconnect the cable pull. Using pliers, disconnect the cable rod from the handle. To do this, squeeze the cable clamp and pull.

5. Remove the handle. Firmly grasp the handle and pull it up. Carefully remove the handle from the gear shift knob.

6. Install a new handle. Align the new handle with the handle and gently press it into place.

7. Connect the cable pull. Connect the cable pull to the new handle. Make sure the cable lock clicks into place.

8. Connect the electrical connector. Connect the electrical connector to the new handle.

9. Reinstall the decorative trim. Align the trim and tighten both screws to secure it.

10. Check functionality. Make sure the new stick works properly by shifting through all gear positions.
