Step 1: Security
* Apply the parking brake.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Step 2: Removing the Center Console
* Remove the center console side covers.
* Bend down the armrest and remove the side panels underneath.
* Remove the screws securing the front of the center console.
* Carefully lift the center console and set it aside.
Step 3: Disconnecting the Connectors
* Locate the electrical connector on the gear selector handle.
* Disconnect the connector.
Step 4: Removing the Trim
* Remove the decorative trim around the gear selector.
* Remove the screw securing the gear selector knob.
Step 5: Removing the selector knob
* Remove the gear selector knob.
Step 6: Removing the automatic transmission selector block
* Locate the bolts securing the automatic transmission selector block to the car body.
* Unscrew the bolts.
* Remove the automatic transmission selector block from the vehicle.
Adviсe:
* Be careful when removing trim as it may break easily.
* Place the removed parts in a safe place for further assembly.
*To reassemble, follow the steps in reverse order.
