Required tools:
* Wrench set
* Extensions
* Ratchet
* Pliers
* Flat head screwdriver
Step by step instructions:
1. Disconnect the battery.
* Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the air filter.
* Open the latches and remove the upper part of the air filter housing.
* Loosen the clamp and remove the air duct.
* Remove the air filter.
3. Disconnect the connectors.
* Locate the connector and wiring harness on the automatic transmission control unit.
* Disconnect the electrical connectors by pressing their latches.
4. Remove the control cable.
* Using pliers, squeeze the latch on the control cable mount.
* Disconnect the control cable from the automatic transmission control unit.
5. Remove the hydraulic hose.
* Locate the hydraulic hose connected to the automatic transmission control unit.
* Loosen the bolts on the hydraulic hose.
* Carefully remove the hose from the automatic transmission control unit.
6. Unscrew the fastening bolts.
* Locate and unscrew the three bolts securing the automatic transmission control unit to the transmission.
*You may need to use extensions to access the bolts.
7. Remove the automatic transmission control unit.
* Gently pull the automatic transmission control unit up to disconnect it from the transmission.
Adviсe:
* Use a new gasket on the automatic transmission control unit when installing it.
* Tighten the automatic transmission control unit mounting bolts in accordance with the specified tightening torque.
* Make sure all electrical connectors are securely connected.
* After installing the automatic transmission control unit, reset the transmission adaptations.
