Materials:
* Wrench set
* Pliers (optional)
* 24mm deep head (optional)
Steps:
1. Ensure safety: Park the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake and block the wheels.
2. Disconnect the battery: Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent the vehicle from being turned on accidentally.
3. Raise the vehicle: Raise the front of the vehicle using a jack and support it with jack stands.
4. Remove the wheel: Remove the nuts from the wheel and remove it from the vehicle.
5. Remove the hub cap: Remove the hub cap using a flathead screwdriver or pliers.
6. Loosen the hub nut: Using a wrench, loosen the hub nut that holds the hub in place. Do not remove the nut completely.
7. Disconnect the tie rod: Locate the tie rod where the tie rod connects to the steering knuckle. Using a wrench, loosen the tie rod rod nut and disconnect the tie rod from the steering knuckle.
8. Remove the brake caliper: Using a wrench, loosen the caliper bolts and remove the brake caliper. Hang it with a wire or strap to keep it from hanging on the brake hose.
9. Remove the brake rotor: Remove the brake rotor by pulling it from the inside of the steering knuckle.
10. Separate the drive shaft: Grasp the drive shaft inner joint and pull it firmly toward the transmission. The hinge should come out of the inner support.
11. Pull Drive Shaft Out: Slide the drive shaft out through the hole in the steering knuckle. Be careful not to damage the drive shaft seal or inner support.
Assembly:
Reassembly is carried out in reverse order with the following additional steps:
* Lubricate the splined end of the drive shaft with grease.
* Clean the inner support from old grease and apply new one.
* Insert the drive shaft into the inner support and click it into place.
* Attach the steering knuckle to the steering knuckle and tighten the nut.
* Replace the brake rotor if necessary.
* Install the brake caliper and tighten the bolts.
*Tighten the hub nut to the specified torque.
* Install the hub cap.
* Install the wheel and tighten the nuts.
* Lower the vehicle and tighten all bolts and nuts to the specified torques.
* Connect the negative battery cable.
