Materials:
* Set of socket wrenches
* Hex key set
* New drive assembly
* Container for draining transmission fluid (optional)
Carefully:
* Let the vehicle cool down before starting work.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
*Work in a well-ventilated area.
* Use the right tools and follow the instructions exactly.
Instructions:
1. Raise and secure the vehicle. Place jacks at the appropriate points on the vehicle and lower it onto jack stands.
2. Drain transmission fluid (optional). Use a container to drain the transmission pan. Enough fluid should be drained so that it does not leak out when the drive is removed.
3. Remove the wheel. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the wheel bolts and remove it.
4. Remove the brake caliper. Remove the bolts or clips holding the caliper to the steering knuckle and move the caliper to the side. Do not disconnect the brake hose.
5. Disconnect the ball joint. Using a large socket wrench or hex wrench, unscrew the ball joint nut and disconnect it from the steering knuckle.
6. Disconnect the inner CV joint. Using a socket wrench, remove the bolts holding the inner CV joint to the transmission and carefully pull the drive out. Use a spatula if necessary.
7. Remove the drive. Hold the drive by the inner CV joint, pull it completely out of the transmission and set it aside.
8. Install the new drive. Apply lubricant to the drive splines and insert it into the gearbox. Tighten the inner CV joint bolts.
9. Connect the outer CV joint. Insert the drive into the wheel hub and attach the outer CV joint by tightening the nut.
10. Connect the ball joint. Return the ball joint to its place and tighten the nut.
11. Install the brake caliper. Attach the caliper to the steering knuckle and tighten the bolts or clamps.
12. Install the wheel. Place the wheel on the hub and tighten the bolts.
13. Fill with transmission fluid (optional). Add fluid to the correct level through the filler plug on the transmission.
14. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
15. Lower the car. Slowly lower the vehicle from the stands.
