Materials:
*Torx T25 tool
Steps:
1. Place the gear shift lever in Park (P) position.
2. Press the shift lock button. It is located on the top side of the gear shift knob.
3. Insert a T25 Torx tool into the hole in the base of the shift knob. The hole is located on the underside of the frame, at the base of the handle.
4. Turn the Torx tool counterclockwise. This will loosen the bolt holding the shift knob in place.
5. Pull the shift knob up and towards you to remove it. Be careful as the selector may fall out.
6. Take the automatic transmission selector. This is a metal piece attached to the bottom of the shift knob.
7. Pull the selector out of the gear shift knob.
To install the automatic transmission selector back:
1. Insert the selector into the gear shift knob.
2. Reinstall the gear shift knob.
3. Tighten the bolt using a T25 Torx tool.
4. Remove the shift lock button.
