Materials:

* Flat blade screwdriver

Steps:

1. Move the selector lever to the Park position (P). This is important to prevent the vehicle from moving while removing the selector lever.
2. Locate the small unlock button on the right side of the selector. It is usually located next to the gear selector.
3. Press the unlock button and at the same time pull the selector towards you. The selector should move out of the locking position.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector on the underside of the selector. To do this, press the latch and pull the connector.
5. Remove the cover around the selector lever. It is held on by latches. Gently pry it open with a flat blade screwdriver.
6. Unscrew the two bolts securing the selector to the floor.
7. Remove the selector. To do this, pull it up and disconnect it from the control cables.

Note:

* If you need to disconnect the control cables, mark their position before removing. This will make it easier to install the new selector.
* Be careful when handling the selector as it contains electronic components.
