Materials:

* Phillips screwdriver
* Round nose pliers (optional)

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery:
* Open the hood and find the negative terminal of the battery.
* Loosen the negative pole nut with a Phillips screwdriver and remove the terminal.

2. Remove the frame around the selector:
* Pull the sides of the frame around the selector inward to release it.
* Lift the frame up and remove it.

3. Loosen the selector lever bolt:
* Locate the bolt that secures the selector lever to the rocker.
* Loosen the bolt with a Phillips screwdriver, but do not remove it completely.

4. Move the selector to the parking position:
* Press the brake pedal and move the selector to the Park (P) position.

5. Remove the unlock button:
*Locate the unlock button next to the selector lever.
* Press the button and pull up to remove it.

6. Remove the selector clamp:
* There may be a spring under the selector clamp. Using pliers or a screwdriver, carefully pull out the spring.
*Then press down on the clip and pull it down to remove it.

7. Remove the selector:
* Remove the selector from the rocker. You may have to wiggle it a little to get it to come out.

Assembly:

Follow the same steps in reverse to reassemble the selector.

Note:

* Be careful not to damage the selector spring or clamp.
* Be sure to tighten the selector lever bolt to the required torque.
* After assembly, check the operation of the selector by moving it through all positions.
