Required tools:
* Set of keys
* Flat blade screwdriver
* Phillips screwdriver
* Automatic transmission fluid container
* Sealant for automatic transmission pan
Instructions:
1. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
2. Park the car on a level surface.
3. Jack up the car on the side on which the automatic transmission pan is located.
4. Place supports under the car for security.
5. Go under the car and find the automatic transmission pan. The pan is usually made of aluminum or metal and has a series of bolts that secure it.
6. Clean the automatic transmission pan and the area around it with a rag. This will prevent dirt from entering the transmission when removing the pan.
7. Disconnect the harness wiring from the automatic transmission pan. This may require disconnecting the connector or removing screws.
8. Loosen the automatic transmission pan bolts using a wrench. Do not unscrew the bolts completely at this stage.
9. Lightly tap the pan with a rubber mallet or the handle of a screwdriver. This will help separate the automatic transmission pan gasket from the pan.
10. Carefully unscrew the automatic transmission pan bolts. Do this by hand or with a wrench.
11. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Be careful as a small amount of automatic transmission fluid may leak.
12. Clean the automatic transmission pan and the surface of the gearbox housing from old gaskets and debris.
13. Apply a thin layer of automatic transmission pan sealant to the new gasket.
14. Install the gasket on the automatic transmission pan.
15. Lift the automatic transmission pan and align it with the transmission housing.
16. Install the automatic transmission pan bolts and tighten them by hand.
17. Using a wrench, tighten the automatic transmission pan bolts diagonally according to the specified tightening torque (usually 8-10 Nm).
18. Connect the harness wiring to the automatic transmission pan.
19. Lower the vehicle from the supports.
20. Check the automatic transmission fluid level and add fluid if necessary.
